Talking of Tecno N5 and Tecno N7 phones, it has not been officially confirmed though rumour has it that Tecno has plans to launch Tecno N5 and Tecno N7 Android smart phones during 2012 December ending or early 2013.
According to rumours, Tecno N5 and Tecno N7 will feature Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, front 3G calls camera etc.
The report is not official so I don’t believe it yet

Hi george, it depends on what you want to do. If you want to download mp3 music and videos to your Tecno N3 it won’t require any installation but if you want use Tecno N3 as a modem it will need installation and settings. So what exactly do you want to achieve?

Hi Bukky, am sorry about that. It escaped my mind to mention that WhatsApp Messenger works on Tecno N3 phone, but you can’t get it from Google play store you have to get it from some other sites.
You can visit http://www.whatsapp.com/android/ using operamini, once the page opens, click the green “download now” button to download and save the WhatsApp.apk file, then open and run WhatsApp on your Tecno N3 phone.

Well as it is with every product there must be something unique that makes it stand out. Tecno N3 features Android 2.3.5 gingerbread which is better than Tecno T1 Android2.2 froyo, memory and few other things are better than that of T1, it’s also cheaper. On the other hand Tecno T1 has front camera and flash light etc which are lacking in Tecno N3… So the choice is yours!

Hi Charlly, on the area of your phone going silent during incoming calls, I can’t really say what the cause could be but whenever a phone or PC starts hanging, it shows that virus is present in the system, so the best way to get it fixed is to flash your Tecno N3 and also scan the memory card.
You can install anti-virus software on the phone from Google Play store (if there is any)

Thanks, Azubuike. Unfortunately none of the above worked. No where to turn off the messages in Tecno n3. I called Airtel, they could not help me. I went to Tecno CarCare Service Center at Ikeja, I was told that the messages are coming because it’s a new phone and will soon stop. But it’s about 3 weeks now that I got the phone….and the messages are increasing! I get about 200 in a day some times. I don’t know what to do….is a problem with Tecno n3?

So sorry dear, this can be irritating atimes. I doubt if the messages comes cos the phone is still new. Airtel should have a solution to this cos the message is coming from their network. So they should have a way to disable such messages even from their network end. It’s not a problem with Tecno, you can try using another network on it to see if the message stops or not

Hi mark, you will have to move some of the apps to sd memory card if possible, if not possible to move them, then delete the common ones (the apps that you can easily find and download) to free your phone memory. After some space is achieved, re-download those apps (the ones you deleted) and install them to the sd memory card.

Hi, I kinda semi-bricked my tecno n3, I currently need a system.img file for the phone to flash via fastboot but after weeks of searching and trying to create one I found none and the ones I made ended up with
FAILED (remote: flash write failure)
in fastboot… would you be having a solution to it or try running the commands in the link below to get the system.img from the phone from this link then upload them maybe to dropbox

Yes the first version of the Tecno N3 was 256MB memory, later Tecno upgraded it to 512MB. You can find it written on the side of the phone’s pack. You can as well ask the seller to give you the one with 512MB memory.

yea, we need a jbed installer for android 2.3.5 in other to use java application.
i am having problem with n3 and i think i need your assistance . my problem is that, i bought this phone a month ago and am experiencing automatic shout down that i dont understand,is like the phone will go off or shoutdown without pressing the power button and whenever it goes off and you press the power button to turn it on, it will not work unless you remove the battery and fix it back before it can be turned on and this thin is eating away the love i have for the phone, so please what should i do?
